This Department is responsible for dedicated clinical service in oral and maxillofacial region involving local Anesthesia & pain management and has a full scope post graduate Residency Programs for 72 month as 3 year. There is ample of exposure to Head & Neck oncology as well as Facial Aesthetic Surgery, Extractions of badly decayed / mobile Teeth & Roots, removed of impacted wisdom teeth, cyst and tumors of the oral cavity. The department is fully committed for patient care, student & resident care, community, profession and continuing education, scientific research & publication. This department also deals with the treatment of fractures of the jaws by bone plating and / or Arch bar fixation.
Department provides patient care in Dento-alveolar surgery , dental Implant surgery correction of Maxillofacial Deformities , cleft & craniofacial surgery , Facial Frauma surgery, TMJ Surgery , cancer of Head + neck & facial Reconstruction surgery.
Department has 05 PG seats approved & recognized by DCI.
Renowned oral and maxillofacial surgeon Prof. Dr. P.K Pandey is the Head of oral and maxillofacial surgery department. Professor Pandey has done his B.D.S in 2006 from one of most premier institute of India. Bapu Ji Dental College & Hospital, Davanagere while his Post graduation in 2010 from K.L.E Institute of Dental science, Belgaum.
He has worked extensively in cleft and craniofacial defects. He has worked in Saraswati Dental College & Hospital, Lucknow as an Assistant Professor. Later is joined Chandra Dental College & Hospital, Barabanki. Where he worked as an Associate Professor and presently The Professor & Head of the Department.
He has been appointed as External Examiner & Evaluator in various Universities throughout India.
He has done many high impact PUBMED indexed publication of original research of various prestigious international and Indian journals to his name.
Dr. Pandey has been the DCI Inspector in various Universities of India.
He has guided many post graduate theses as guide & co-guide with special emphasis on maxillofacial pathology, Trauma & craniofacial defects.
